Overview of Acrylic Fiber Production at Fini HOLDING

Our venture into acrylic fiber production underscores our unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and technological excellence. The intricate process begins with polymerization in a solvent, seamlessly transitioning into direct wet spinning, a testament to our dedication to advanced manufacturing techniques. The second-hand equipment, meticulously refurbished during 2002-2003, underwent extensive renewal, ensuring optimal functionality. Leveraging our profound knowledge in this specialized process, we took charge of the engineering, encompassing process, basic, and detailed engineering, a testament to our proficiency in every facet of the production cycle.
The comprehensive scope of supply is a testament to our commitment to providing turnkey solutions. This includes know-how, basic and detailed engineering for technological departments, state-of-the-art technological machines and equipment—whether second-hand or new—assistance in erection and commissioning, and dedicated technological personnel for the training of the buyer's technicians and the subsequent seamless start-up of production.

Characteristics of the Plant:
The acrylic fiber plant is a marvel of flexibility and efficiency, designed to produce ACRYLIC FIBRE tow or staple with diverse characteristics. From bright to semidull, raw white to gel-dyed, the three spinning lines operate continuously for 8,000 hours per year. Offering unparalleled versatility, filament counts ranging from 1.3 to 17 dtex, and cut lengths from 38 to 150 mm, the production scheme adapts to various requirements. Anticipated production yields include Grade A fiber (93%), Grade B fiber (5.0%), and a minimal 2.0% waste, which is efficiently recycled within the polymerization department.

Raw Materials and Chemicals:
The heart of our process lies in the meticulous selection of raw materials and chemicals. Acrylonitrile (ACN), Methilacrylate (MA), Dimethylformamide (DMF) as a solvent, 2-acrylamido 2-methylpropanesulfonic acid (AMPS), Sodium carbonate, Azo-diiso-butyronitrile (AiBN) as a catalyst system, DL-malic acid as a catalyst system, Titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a dulling agent, Blueing agent (toner) as a whitening agent, and Finishing oil for antistatic and softener agents are carefully chosen to ensure the highest quality end product.

Utilities Specification:
A robust infrastructure of utilities supports the plant's operations. This includes electric power, steam at middle and low pressure, soft water, raw water, demineralized water, cooling water, chilled water, compressed air (service and instruments), and nitrogen. Each utility is meticulously managed to ensure the seamless functioning of the production process.
Technological Process Description:
The acrylic fiber production process is a symphony of precision and efficiency. It involves polymerization in solvent, monomer recovery, dope preparation to spinning, wet spinning, and a series of textile unit operations. These operations include stretching, washing, drying, crimping, and culminate in the final steps of baling or cutting and baling. The simplicity of the process diagram is a testament to our commitment to efficiency and sustainability. This process, referred to as the "one-step process," ensures a continuous flow from raw material preparation to fiber baling without any stop or intermediate product storage.

Short Description of One-Step Process Plant:
The plant operates in a steady state, with a carefully orchestrated series of steps ensuring the continuous production of acrylic fiber. From the raw material load to storage to the final solvent recovery, each stage is seamlessly integrated, optimizing production and minimizing waste. The solvent recovery plant plays a crucial role, ensuring that the solvent is efficiently reclaimed and the water used in the process is responsibly managed.
In upcoming revisions, detailed process descriptions with flow sheet diagrams for each technological department will be provided. This acrylic fiber production plant not only showcases our technical prowess but also emphasizes our commitment to sustainable and innovative manufacturing processes. It is a testament to our dedication to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the world of acrylic fiber manufacturing.
